Product Identification
• Generic Name: Triclabendazole Tablets
• Strength: 250 mg Triclabendazole per tablet
• Package: 10 tablets per blister

Each tablet contains 250 mg Triclabendazole as active ingredient. Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone K30, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate.
Description
Dark green film-coated tablets.
Pharmacological Action
Triclabendazole is a halogenated benzimidazole derivative with highly specific activity against liver flukes at all developmental stages (early immature, immature and adult). It binds to parasite β-tubulin, inhibits microtubule assembly, blocks glucose uptake and impairs energy metabolism, leading to parasite death.
• Spectrum: Highly effective against Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica in cattle, sheep and goats; also active against paramphistomes. It is the drug of choice for both acute and chronic fascioliasis.
• Pharmacokinetics: Well absorbed orally; extensively distributed and concentrated in liver tissue; metabolized in liver to active sulfoxide metabolite; excreted mainly via bile.
Indications
For the treatment and control of acute and chronic fascioliasis (liver fluke disease) caused by Fasciola spp. in cattle, sheep and goats.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration.
• Cattle: 12 mg triclabendazole per kg body weight, single administration.
• Sheep & Goats: 10 mg per kg body weight, single administration. For severe heavy infection, repeat treatment after 4–6 weeks if necessary.
Adverse Reactions
1. Transient soft feces or mild diarrhea may occur in heavily infected animals due to fluke expulsion.
2. Rare hypersensitivity reactions in individual animals.
Contraindications
1. Hypersensitivity to triclabendazole or other benzimidazole derivatives.
2. Animals with severe hepatic impairment.
Precautions
1. Use with caution in pregnant animals during the first trimester.
2. Do not co-administer with other flukicides without veterinary supervision.
3. For veterinary use only. Keep out of reach of children.
