Product Name
• Generic Name: Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate Powder
• Trade Name: Dichloroisocyanuric Acid Powder Solid Disinfectant
• Specification: 1kg per bag
Composition
Active ingredient: Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (DCCNa), with available chlorine (Cl) not less than 56.0% (w/w). Excipients: Stabilizer, water-soluble filler, surfactant.
Description
White crystalline powder, with slight chlorine odor, easily soluble in water. Aqueous solution is weakly acidic.
Pharmacological Action
A chlorinated isocyanuric acid disinfectant that rapidly hydrolyzes in water to release hypochlorous acid (HClO). Hypochlorous acid penetrates microbial cells and oxidizes thiol groups of essential enzymes, disrupting cell metabolism and causing pathogen death.
• Spectrum: Broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, viruses, fungi, bacterial spores and algae.
• Features: High stability in solid form, long shelf life, good tolerance to organic matter.
Indications
Widely used for disinfection of livestock/poultry farms, pens, feeding equipment, drinking water pipelines, transport vehicles and slaughterhouses. Also applicable to aquaculture water disinfection.
Dosage & Administration
Dilute with clean water and apply by spraying, soaking, wiping or splashing:
1. Routine environmental & equipment disinfection: Dilute 1:1000 (1g powder per 1L water), spray or soak, contact for 30 minutes.
2. Epidemic period disinfection: Dilute 1:500, spray thoroughly, contact for 60 minutes, once daily.
3. Drinking water disinfection: 0.3–0.5 g per 1000 L water for continuous disinfection.
4. Aquaculture water disinfection: 0.3–0.5 g per cubic meter of water, splash evenly.
Adverse Reactions
High-concentration solution causes irritation to skin and mucous membranes. No systemic adverse reactions at working concentration.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to chlorine-containing disinfectants.
Precautions
1. For external use only. Oral administration is strictly prohibited. Keep out of reach of children.
2. Corrosive to metal materials and bleaching to colored fabrics; avoid prolonged contact with metal equipment.
3. Do not mix with acids, reducing agents, ammonium salts, urea or other nitrogen-containing substances — may cause violent reaction and release toxic gas.
4. Operators must wear protective mask, gloves and goggles. Rinse immediately with plenty of water in case of skin/eye contact.
5. Prepare solution immediately before use; diluted solution must not be stored for long periods.
6 Store separately from food, feed and veterinary drugs; keep away from flammable and explosive materials.
Storage
Seal tightly, store in a cool, dry and ventilated place, away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep away from fire sources.
