• Generic Name: Oxfendazole Granules
• Strength: 10% (100 mg Oxfendazole per gram)

Composition
Each gram contains 100 mg Oxfendazole as active ingredient. Excipients: Starch, sucrose, polysorbate 80, magnesium stearate.
Description
White to pale yellow granular powder.
Pharmacological Action
Oxfendazole is a sulfoxide derivative of fenbendazole, a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic. It binds to parasite β-tubulin, inhibits microtubule formation and impairs nutrient absorption, resulting in parasite death. It is active against adult and larval stages of nematodes and tapeworms.
• Spectrum: Effective against Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Oesophagostomum, Strongyloides, Ascaris, and tapeworms such as Moniezia in ruminants and pigs.
• Pharmacokinetics: Well absorbed orally; metabolized in liver; excreted via urine and feces.
Indications
For the treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworm and tapeworm infections in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.
Dosage & Administration
Oral administration, mixed with feed.
• Cattle: 4.5 mg oxfendazole per kg bw (4.5 g granules per 100 kg bw), single dose.
• Sheep & Goats: 5 mg/kg bw, single dose.
• Pigs: 3 mg/kg bw, single dose.
Adverse Reactions
Well tolerated at recommended dose. Rare mild gastrointestinal upset in sensitive animals.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to oxfendazole or other benzimidazole derivatives.
Precautions
1. Use with caution in early pregnancy.
2. Do not exceed recommended dosage.
3. For veterinary use only.
Withdrawal Period
• Meat: Cattle 11 days; Sheep/Goats 7 days; Pigs 14 days
• Milk: 5 days
Storage
Store in tightly closed container in a cool dry place, protected from light.
