Pyrethroid Insecticide Solution for Ruminants
Product Identification
• Generic Name: Fenvalerate Emulsifiable Concentrate
• Strength: 20% w/v (200 mg Fenvalerate per mL)

Description
Light yellow to brown transparent oily liquid with slight aromatic odor; forms stable milky emulsion when diluted with water.
Pharmacological Action
Fenvalerate is a type II pyrethroid insecticide with strong contact and stomach poison action. It acts on voltage-gated sodium channels of insect nerve cell membranes, delaying sodium channel closure, causing sustained nerve depolarization, repeated discharges and convulsive paralysis, leading to rapid insect death.
• Spectrum: Highly effective against ticks, mange mites, lice, fleas, flies, mosquitoes and midges in cattle, sheep and goats, with fast knockdown effect and long residual activity.
Indications
For the treatment and control of ticks, mites, lice and fly infestations in cattle, sheep and goats; also for environmental disinsection of livestock houses.
Dosage & Administration
Dilute with clean water and apply by spraying, dipping or wiping.
• Ticks & lice on body: Dilute to 0.005%–0.01% fenvalerate (1:2000 – 1:4000 dilution), spray thoroughly over the whole body.
• Mange treatment: Dilute to 0.01%–0.02% solution, spray or dip, repeat after 7–10 days.
• Environmental disinsection: Dilute to 0.05% solution, spray walls, floors and breeding equipment.
Adverse Reactions
1. Mild transient skin irritation in sensitive animals.
2. Oral ingestion may cause neurological symptoms: tremors, salivation, ataxia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to pyrethroid compounds.
Precautions
1. For external use only. Do not administer orally or apply to eyes and mucous membranes.
2. Wear protective gloves and clothing during preparation and spraying.
3. Highly toxic to fish, bees and silkworms. Do not contaminate water sources, beehives and mulberry fields.
4. Do not mix with alkaline substances (causes rapid decomposition).
5. Store away from food and feed. Keep out of reach of children.
