• Generic Name: Fenbendazole Granules
• Strength: 10% (100 mg Fenbendazole per gram)

Composition
Each gram contains 100 mg Fenbendazole as active ingredient. Excipients: Corn starch, lactose, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate.
Description
White to off-white granular powder, odorless.
Pharmacological Action
Fenbendazole is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic. It inhibits parasite tubulin polymerization, blocks glucose uptake and energy metabolism, and kills adult and larval nematodes as well as tapeworms.
• Spectrum: Active against gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms and tapeworms in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats, including Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Oesophagostomum, Ascaris, Strongyloides, Dictyocaulus, Taenia, Toxocara.
• Pharmacokinetics: Partially absorbed after oral administration; metabolized to active oxfendazole in liver; excreted mainly via feces.
Indications
For the treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworm, lungworm and tapeworm infections in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and companion animals.
Dosage & Administration
Oral administration, mixed with feed.
• Cattle: 5–7.5 mg fenbendazole per kg bw (5–7.5 g granules per 100 kg bw), single dose.
• Sheep & Goats: 5 mg/kg bw, single dose.
• Pigs: 3–5 mg/kg bw, single dose.
• Dogs & Cats: 25–50 mg/kg bw, once daily for 3 consecutive days.
Adverse Reactions
Well tolerated. Rare mild vomiting or soft stool at high doses.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to fenbendazole or benzimidazole derivatives.
Precautions
1. Use with caution in pregnant animals during first trimester.
2. Do not combine with other benzimidazole anthelmintics.
3. For veterinary use only.
Withdrawal Period
• Meat: Cattle 8 days; Sheep/Goats 6 days; Pigs 5 days
• Milk: 3 days
Storage
Store in tightly closed container in a cool dry place, protected from light.
