    Product Identification

    • Generic Name: Avermectin Pour-On Solution
    • Strength: 0.5% w/v (5 mg Avermectin B₁ per mL)
    • Package: 1 L per bottle
    Composition
Each mL contains 5 mg Avermectin B₁ as active ingredient. Excipients: Isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, oleic acid, butylated hydroxytoluene.
    Description
Clear, colorless to pale yellow slightly viscous liquid with characteristic solvent odor.
    Pharmacological Action
Avermectin is a macrocyclic lactone endectocide. It activates glutamate-gated chloride channels in the nerve and muscle cells of nematodes and arthropods, causing increased chloride ion influx, cell hyperpolarization and flaccid paralysis, leading to parasite death or expulsion.
    • Spectrum: Effective against adult and larval gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms, eye worms, and ectoparasites including mange mites, lice, ticks, warble fly larvae and horn flies in cattle, sheep and goats.
    • Pharmacokinetics: Rapidly absorbed through the skin after pour-on application; widely distributed in the body; metabolized in the liver; excreted primarily via feces with long residual efficacy.
    Indications
For the treatment and control of internal nematode infections and external parasitic infestations in cattle, sheep and goats, including gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, warble grubs, mange mites, sucking lice and ticks.
    Dosage & Administration
For external pour-on use only. Apply evenly along the dorsal midline (backline) from the withers to the tail head.
    • Cattle: 1 mL per 10 kg body weight (equivalent to 0.5 mg/kg avermectin), single application.
    • Sheep & Goats: 1 mL per 10 kg body weight, single application. For severe mange or heavy tick infestation, repeat after 21 days.
    Adverse Reactions
    1. Transient local skin irritation may occur at the application site in rare cases.
    2. Transient pruritus exacerbation in animals with heavy mange infestation.
    3. Overdose may cause neurotoxic symptoms: ataxia, mydriasis, lethargy, salivation.
    Contraindications
    1. Hypersensitivity to avermectin or other macrocyclic lactones.
    2. Not for use in lactating dairy cows producing milk for human consumption.
    Precautions
    1. For external use only. Do not administer orally or by injection.
    2. Strictly follow the recommended dosage; avoid overdose.

    • Milk: Prohibited for use in lactating dairy animals.
    Storage
Store in tightly closed original container, protected from light, in a cool dry place below 25°C. Keep away from fire and heat sources.
